At The Hive Hub, great companies are built over good conversations and sometimes over plantain and coffee.
That’s the spirit behind the Founders Breakfast, a monthly meetup series designed to bring startup founders, entrepreneurs, and ecosystem players together in a relaxed, collaborative space. It’s more than a breakfast, a growing tradition of open dialogue, shared struggles, and decisive moments.
Started in March 2025, the Founders Breakfast was born from a simple idea: founders need a safe space to openly discuss their challenges and breakthroughs. Building a startup can be lonely and overwhelming, especially in the early stages. But over breakfast, where conversations are relaxed and informal, big ideas often come to life.
The first edition explored how founders shape narratives and culture from the ground up. Entrepreneurs reflected on building trust with their teams, learning on the go, and how storytelling plays a key role in branding and fundraising.
This bold session brought founders and early-stage investors into dialogue. They shared unfiltered stories of fundraising attempts, pitching gone wrong (and right), and the resilience to push through rejections.

This edition, one of the most vibrant sessions yet, focused on what happens when things don’t go as planned. Founders opened up about their toughest pivots, changing business models, scrapping MVPs, or rebooting altogether. Over laughter and fried plantain, new paths were discovered.
Founders Breakfast isn't just about networking; it's about nurturing community. Whether you're launching a startup or scaling one, these meetups offer:
Whether you’re a startup veteran or a first-time founder with a big idea, you’re welcome. The breakfast brings together:
As we continue this monthly tradition, we invite new and returning founders to pull up a chair, grab a cup of coffee, and participate in conversations that could shape the future of their ventures.
